ALESSIA GIARRAPUTO
Alessia Giarraputo is a molecular biotechnologist and PhD fellow at the Department of Cardiac-Thoracic-Vascular Science and Public Health, University of Padova, Italy. She joined the Paris Transplant Group in 2021. |
Alessia Giarraputo defended her Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the University of Padova, on extracellular vesicles as immunomodulatory factors in inflammatory diseases.
During her internships and research activities she gained expertise in cell-culture, ex-vivo model, extracellular vesicles, molecular biology techniques and gene microarray technology. In 2019, she obtained a PhD university’s fellowship grant from the University of Padova and she is currently a doctoral student in Translational Specialistic Medicine. Her research interest focuses on understanding the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying heart transplant rejection, particularly on the characterization of heart allograft rejections profiles and vasculitis through omics sciences and the implementation of innovative transcriptomic methods and analysis tools. |
