Dr. ERNESTO LOPEZ FUNE
Ernesto Lopez Fune is a Data Scientist at the Department of Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation at Necker Hospital in Paris, France. He joined the Paris Transplant Group in 2020. |
Ernesto Lopez Fune is a Data Scientist, Analyst and Astroparticle Physicist. He was granted in 2017 with a postdoc research postion at the Laboratoire de Physique Nucléaire et de Hautes Énergies (LPNHE) in Paris, to work as an Astroparticle Physicist and Data Scientist for the experiment Xenon1T. He defended his Ph.D. on Astroparticle Physics in 2017 at the Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati (SISSA) in Trieste, Italy.
His research interests focus on Predictive Analytics and the applications of Machine and Deep Learning techniques to different data-related problems. He joined the Paris Transplant Group to work on different Artificial Intelligence approaches applied to the Mortality iBox, and to develop Machine and Deep Learning algorithms for the data analysis of the group’s database. He has worked on different independent projects on the application of Machine and Deep Learning techniques to detect Malaria infected cells from blood cell images, Chronic Kidney Disease and Diabetes from patients evaluation databases and Breast Cancer from digitized images of fine needle aspirate (FNA) of breast masses. He has published many research articles either in collaborations or as a single author in different high impact reviews, including Nature, Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, and Physical Review Letters. |
