Prof. Pascal Leprince

Prof. Pascal Leprince is a cardiothoracic surgeon, director of the department of cardiothoracic surgery at La Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris, France. He joined the Paris Transplant Group in 2018.
Prof. Pascal Leprince defended his M.D in 2002 and obtained a four-year fellowship in cardiac surgery. His Ph.D. in electrical engineering focused on the conception of new electroactive activators for mechanical circulatory support.

Pascal Leprince is a renowned expert of end-stage heart failure and heart transplantation. His team performs each year more than 90 heart transplantations, making his department the biggest heart transplantation center in Europe. 
 
His research interest focuses on heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. He coauthored guidelines concerning the diagnosis of primary graft dysfunction after heart transplantation. 
 
Prof. Pascal Leprince is involved in the French Society of Cardiothoracic surgery.
